Ficus lyrata (Fiddle Leaf Fig)

The fiddle leaf ficus is distinguished by large violin-shaped leaves with a waxy finish, that grow in an upright direction.

Ficus Lyrata is a tropical evergreen that is native to western Africa. It is a classic houseplant, though it can be a little tricky to keep happy. Fiddle-leaf figs prefer consistently moist soil, high humidity and a warm, bright location free from drafts. These plants can tolerate a few hours of direct sunlight, but prefer diffuse or indirect light.
